It's a Friday afternoon in late September and your last patient of the day is well known to you. He is 71 and has been your patient for 7 years, since his first visit for an episode of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). While he made a complete recovery, that process took a full 18 months. Since then he has been well and has no new concerns or complaints today.
