NSAIDs and CV Risk: The Bottom Line

Case Presentation

A 62-year-old man with a history of a myocardial infarction (MI) 4 years ago presents with right hip pain. He has had discomfort with walking for the past 6 months. Plain x-rays reveal moderate osteoarthritis. Results from his most recent basic metabolic panel include:

Blood urea nitrogen: 6 mg/dL
Creatinine: 0.8 mg/dL
Glucose: 100 mg/dL
