February 24, 2012
Recorded Nov 15, 2011
Dr Robert Califf conducts a series of in-depth and personal interviews with his peers in the world of cardiology to find out what makes them tick, how they feel about the future, and what lessons they have learned during their exceptional careers.
A child of Russian immigrants in New York, Dr Nanette Wenger was encouraged to follow her passions and value education. She talks to Dr Robert Califf about her studies at Harvard and Mount Sinai during the "golden age" of cardiology, the culture shock she experienced when she moved to Atlanta, and how to train physicians to become medical citizens in a global environment.
